Mike Hawthorn

Well known as a Jaguar dealer and at one time run by Mike Hawthorne.  The Tourist Trophy Garage Ltd were based on East Street, Farnham in the county Surrey in the UK.

Service Vans

Being a Standard dealer the garage naturally used Standard vans.  Pictures exist of original liveried vehicles.  The Standard van shown below is a replica produced more recently.

The garage also used Standard Atlas vans as can see in this period photo.

Triumph 1300 for Montgomery

It was reported in May 1968 that Field Marshal Viscount Montgomery had recently become the owner of a Triumph 1300. Viscount Mohtgomery, who at the time lived at Binsted, took delivery of the car from the Tourist Trophy Garage, Farnham. In the picture he is seen with (left) Mr J. H Adams, Proprietor, and Mr D. Scott, Sales Manager.  We are told that the anagrammatic number plate is purely coincidental.
