What a family needs, Standard-Triumph fulfills! Mr. and Mrs. Graham Wood and their son took delivery of three cars at once one each, when they visited the works recently.

The business held the Alvis car franchise from 1935 to 1969.

1929 Standard Teignmouth saloon

Standard Teignmouth saloon 1929

It was reported in the Standard Triumph Review May 1961: Students and apprentices of Standard-Triumph Sales Ltd have now commenced to restore a 1929 Standard Teignmouth saloon. This car, Chassis No. 93674 ; Engine No. 93454 ; Registration number. UO 8733 was originally supplied by South Devon Garages Ltd, the Standard-Triumph Distributors in Torquay.

It has now been completely stripped to enable work to be advanced on the chassis and mechanical components. Much of the wooden body framework has rotted away and will have to be extensively repaired before a new fabric covering can be fitted. When completed the car will be used for display purposes and Standard Register Rallies.

Show and Service Week promotion

Staff from Standard Triumph HQ visited the business and assisted the firm with a week long Show and Service promotion at their Market Street premises: 20th to 24th September 1965.
