During 1959 as part of their expansion programme, Munn & Underwood Ltd, Standard-Triumph Distributors of Portsmouth and Southsea, acquired King's Garage, Exmouth Road, Southsea, which they modernised and adapted to meet the growing needs of the firm's works department. Pictures show (top) King's Garage at the time it was taken over and (below) after rebuilding. In addition to 20,000 square feet of workshop space there was a covered forecourt with four pumps and behind this are the Works Office and Administration Block. There was also a Parts Department carrying a full range of Stanpart spares.

Munn & Underwood Ltd sold Standard Atlas vans. These two photos are of a Wadham "Conversion" body on a Standard Atlas Van. The interior was said to seat 12. The optical illusion of bars in the windows is created by a background fence. These conversions were included on a stand at the Royal Counties Show Southsea in 1959.
MP'S new Herald Saloon
It was reported in the Standard Triumph Review December 1960 edition:
Mr D E Fox, Branch Manager of Munn & Underwood Ltd, Southampton, Distributors of Standard-Triumph in Hampshire and West Sussex, hands over to Mr David Price, MP for Eastleigh his new Triumph Herald saloon. Also seen is Mrs. Price.
Fireworks fleet delivery
Munn and Underwood Ltd, Southampton 1962 Seven vehicles have recently been supplied to the representatives of Waeco Limited by Munn and Underwood limited, Commercial Road, Southampton. Waeco Limited are a firm of pyrotechnic Manufacturers better known as the makers of Wessex Fireworks. They also manufacture and supply distress signal equipment to all parts of the world. The garage was near the junction of Hill Lane and Commercial Road.
Sales and Service Week
Staff from Standard Triumph HQ visited the business and assisted the firm with week long Show and Service promotions. These were held by the firm at their Commercial Road Southampton premises November 21 to 25 1960.
