Clarendon Car Services Ltd held the Standard Triumph franchise for many years.  They had showrooms at 89 Camden Road, London NW1.

Dealer address info

I have extracted what information I have from my collection of dealer directories.
1955 Clarendon Car Services Limited 89a Camden Road, NW1 9EY.
1959 listed as providing 24hr service
1965 first mention of 229a Camden Road as an additional address and shown as "main stanpart stockists London Metropolitan Area"
1969 no change both address and parts specialist
1974 at 85-89 Camden Road ONLY
May 1975 they are listed as being a Rover dealer as well Triumph.  I have no records to say when they first dealt with Rover cars.

Datsun Nissan dealer

According to a comment left of flickr I understand that the site 

Was a Datsun/Nissan dealer in the 80`s/90`s, cant remember if it was Dan Perkins or AFG.

Cliff Pope - I started work there in August 1970 The stag came along at the same time.I was 16 and a apprentice.worked there till 1978 over the years we did all the BL stuff.We used to have a 1910 Standard in the showroom which I think had been in family from new.Would love to find some pictures of it.We used to drain fuel tanks of new models before they appeared on tv from London Weekend Television.Being in Camden we had a lot of famous TV an Film stars as customers.Great to see that advert after all these years

Cliff Pope - Triumph Car dealers Yes you can.People I remember well was actress Billie Whitelaw I used to drive her home.Journalist Joan Bakewell she had a Vitesse. Rising damps Frances de la Tour Emergency 10s Bud Tingwell. I used to service the car from the film Clockwork Orange one of the crew bought if when the film was finished.As part of my apprenticeship I had to do time on the petrol pumps there I met Hawkwind the Rubettes and Peter Sellers in his specially made Mini.And Bob Hoskins used to drink in the pub around the corner we used lunchtimes Robin Stewart from Bless This House used to drink in there.

All gone

Both sites from which Clarendon Car Services Limited traded have been cleared and no trace of the business now remains.
