This blog post is about business that has been known by two different names K J Motors Ltd and Loxleys of Bromley and Orpington.

Loxleys of Bromley and Orpington - Triumph car dealer were first established in Bromley in 1919.

Bromley is both a town and London brough. Orpington is now a town in the London brough of Bromley. Before the creation of Greater London in 1965, Orpington was in the county of Kent.

The business held many different franchises over the years. In 1957 as can seen from these adverts they were selling Vauxhall, Jaguar, Land Rover, Rover and Standard Triumph cars.

Principally based in Bromley and Orpington the business has had several branches over the years. 

K J Motors forecour Vauxhall and Standard Triumph dealership, Widmore Road, Bromley, Kent.

Owen Wilson Jones

Wilson Jones at Brooklands 1925

Owen Wilson Jones was the founder owner and Managing Director of K J Motors.  During the 1920's he raced a Salmon car at hill climbs and speed trails.  He also raced at Brooklands.  He competed in the 200 mile race race at Brooklands in 1924 and broke several class records.
