Hoffmans of Sheffield are the feature business of this post about Standard Triumph car dealers in Sheffield.

Hoffmans of Sheffield were based at 43-67 Ecclesall Road, Sheffield S11.  Over the years they held many different franchises. At the time of this advert from 1966 they were Mercedes Benz dealers in addition to selling Land Rover, Rover, Triumph plus Hillman and Humber cars. Later they sold Volvo cars.

I have a record of Hoffmans selling Triumph cars from as early as February 1965 until at least March 1970.  They are not listed as a Triumph dealer in March 1972.

As of October 1965 they were selling both Triumph and Jaguar cars. I understand that the business became Lex Brooklands and was certainly trading as such in 1976/77.

I recently found this advert for Jaguar cars being sold by Hoffmans of Leicester, 31 London Road, Leicester.

Other Triumph car dealers in Sheffield

From as early as April 1951 and probably earlier Hatfields were the distributor for Triumph cars in Sheffield.
