Triumph Car Dealers in Finland 1970

Triumph car were exported all over the world.  I have found some information about some of the oversea markets.  Having already written about dealers in New Zealand I will now cover Finland.

I have tried to extract the dealers address details as shown in this advert from 1970.  As I can neither read or understand Finnish please forgive my effort at rendering the following addresses.  I would welcome any corrections that may be needed.

T R Pratt, Norton Buildings, Calcutta agent for Standard Cars supplied a 6 cylinder 20HP car for George V his majesty the King-Emperor to use at the Delphi Durbar (a celebration of his coronation).

Triangular Motors Limited 1948

This Triangular Motors Limited, New Queens Road, Bombay advert from 7 August 1948 for the Standard Vanguard is I think aimed at British nationals returning to the United Kingdom.  I have seen other adverts by this business advertising a branch in Poona and Wolseley cars.

Triumph car dealers in New Zealand

This article is about car dealers who sold and serviced Standard Triumph cars in New Zealand. I have here shared some dealer adverts and would welcome any further comments and material that readers may have.In an earlier blog post I wrote about Triumph car deliveries in New Zealand

Standard Triumph cars were both sold and assembled in New zealand. The earliest advert I have is this showing a Standard 13.9hp two seater Standard. E Reynolds & Co Ltd of Wellington were a distributor of Standard cars and in this advert are looking to recruit dealers to sell Standard cars in News Zealand.

Triumph Car Deliveries in New Zealand - Triumph Car Dealers 31A

Triumph 2000's on car transporter in New Zealand

Standard Triumph had a factory in New Zealand where they made Triumph cars.  To get the cars out to the dealers delivery lorries were used.  I have this photo from Andrew Newman on facebook which shows Triumph 2000 MkI's being taken off site by H Boyce & Co Ltd truck.

A much later shot showing Triumph Mk2s and Princesses. These would be cars assembled at Nelson (towards the north of the South Island) The Mk 1s in the other shot probably were assembled at the previous old Christchurch plant. The 2000s were far more successful sellers than the Princess, which sat around in large quantities awaiting buyers apparently.
