  1. Hi Stephen,
I have been reading you article (no72) about F.Mitchell the dealership for Triumph in the 1960s.
I am searching for a Triumph TR3, possibly 3A, that was owned by my uncle in the early 1960s, and which I used to ride in. It was red, but I only have part of the registration - the letters ERA.
I have traced another TR3 with that registration, 798ERA, but it is unlikely this is the car I am interested in, as that one was blue when it left the factory in 1957, destined for F.Mitchell. Unlikely it had been resprayed and reupholstered so soon after manufacture.

Now it is possible that F.Mitchell had a block of registrations nnnERA and that another number was allocated to another, red, tr3/3A around the same time. I was wondering if you have any lists of information about F Mitchell from that era?
    Regards,
    Paul Clark
PS - my uncle also subsequently bought a yellow Dolomite Sprint - now that was rapid!

Unfortunately I do not have any reg number lists.

Have you tried asking the TR Register who keep a register of TR cars?

I have a Sprint engine in my TR7 and that used to surprise moderns when I commuted up and down the A1 from Newark to Leeds for a year.
