The group had many interested but as demand for cars increased they expanded that side of the business by building, selling and servicing cars.

  1. Hi Steve
I have contacted you before regarding my search for a family TR3A. Do you know anyone with sales records from Hollingdrakes Stockport from the 1970s? My uncle, owned the TR, and also subsequently had a new Dolomite Sprint (and before the TR had two Standard Vanguards). He was in Marple Cheshire so would almost certainly have bought them from Hollingdrakes. Sales records might help me find out what happened to the TR if he traded it in for the Dolomite Sprint. Regards Paul

  3. Great to read about Hollindrakes Town Hall Square. I was a junior doctor at the Infirmary opposite. I had a Standard 8 ,bought from Timms of Leigh. I was able to garage the car at Apsley House where the Senior Nursing staff lived. Unfortunately reversing out one evening I collided with a brick corner much to my chagrin as my Nursing Sister girlfriend was in the car. Hollindrakes repaired the damage and I was a grateful customer for many years The Stansard was replaced by a Triumph Herald when our family arrived.
