Garage plans and door delivery

Here are a couple of scanned extracts from the plans of my garage.

Yesterday whilst still at work I got a call that the vehicle doors were about to be delivered. They did not turn up as the driver had run out of hours and had to park up. The doors had been made in Sunderland and were being delivered straight from the works. Today the truck turns up but after much searching and head scratching the driver could only find one of the doors on the truck. I now have one door + two sets of everything else to fit the doors. I wonder when the missing door will turn up?

two purlins up

It really is looking like a garage now. Centre pillar in and two purlins fitted. Tony the brickie was taking pictures of his handywork today for his portfolio to show potential employers.

Gosh what big purlins you've got!

Three big timbers were delivered today. If you look carefully you can see the gaps left in the blockwork for them. The roof sheets will be fitted to the purlins next Tuesday. The purlins will run from back wall to front wall with one forming the ridge of the roof.

Yesterday I ordered the garage doors from TotalSecuritySolutions http://www.total-supplies.com/garage/gliderol/index.htm. Got a great price so both will be electric. They are Gliderol roller doors. Next I need to find a strong friend to help fit them.

WYL is back

Well WYL is nearly back. Mike Papworth mailto:mike.papworth1@btopenworld.com has fixed the gearbox and got the car an MOT. My garage is not finished so the Vitesse is having a holiday in another garage.

It was good to blast about again with a quick visit to Canley Classics http://canleyclassics.com to pick up a spare boot lid I bought on a eBay auction they had last year.

We stopped off in Fillongley at the Manor pub for lunch. A good recommendation from Dave Pearson.
