Robin Hood Garage, Penge |
Robin Hood Garage 1964 |
Robin Hood Garage site in 2009 |
The Robin Hood Garage survived until around 2012 after which time it was demolished. An Aldi car park now occupies the site. The Robin Hood pub that had been next to the garage was also knocked down and the Aldi store stands on its site.

I worked at robin hood garage late 60s at that time it was owned by the Bennett family and was a vauxhall Bedford retail dealer with a car and commercial service dept, medium size parts department where I worked car sales and a petrol forecourt, I spent 10 months working there and did enjoy the family environment that existed, I have fond memories of Eric Perrin and Ben vancylenberg, it's a pity that these motor trade family businesses seem to be a thing of the past
